Hello, welcome to my campaign blog and thank you for visiting! This blog is serving as my de facto campaign website to communicate who I am, where I stand, and why I want to continue to serve on the Mankato City Council.
I have learned a tremendous amount in my first term as a councilmember, but if there's one thing I have learned above all else, it's that decision making requires an ongoing commitment to educating myself and always communicating and learning from others in the community.
I remain commited to the same set of principles that I set out when I first ran for office. That I will promote sustainability in our city, make sure our government has outstanding service delivery, and promote growth that is ready for the future as we strive for prosperity in the 21st century.
I am running essentially a DIY campaign, so I might not have much for glitz, but I'm hoping to make up for that with thoughtful positions and dialogue. Most of all, I hope to earn your vote on November 8th. So keep that in mind, and I urge you to contact me if you ever have any questions!
Cheers,
Jason

My Pledge to Ward 4 Residents
I have made several tenets the cornerstone of my time as a Councilmember. If re-elected, I pledge to continue to do the following when I take the oath of office:
- Continue to reseach and educate myself on pressing and emerging issues
- Approach all new ideas and initiatives with an open mind
- Remain impartial and not bring bias or preconceptions into the decision making process
- Continue to work with Neighborhood Associations on livability issues
- Advocate and fight for constituent issues that are brought to my attention
- Vote for equal distribution of city resources and continued investment in Ward 4 neighborhoods
- Work with legislators and peer city groups when there are statewide issues that affect Mankato residents
- Advocate for long term change to transition Mankato into being a future foward and resilient city
